How do I start a medical Eqpt supply business from home?need license?
I want to start a medical eqpt supply business from home in Texas (Allen). Do I need a license? Since I am not familiar with Medical eqpt, how do I find out from which company to order the eqpt for resonable price? Who should I contact to get the order?(Drs. Homehealth care…..)what is the initial cost? How much time invest to establish the business? Is this business feasible with baby at home?Any thought on profit margin?-
ANSWER:
You should start with the State’s Licensing requirements first. You would need to file a Texas Tax Registration. If you want to use a fictitious name for your business, then you would have to file that on the County level. If you want a place where you can find these forms, you can go to http://www.businesslicenses.com/Licenses/TX/Collin/Allen-4808501924/.

QUESTION:
What is the 2007 standard tax deduction for under ,000 single male no kids?
I’m trying to figure out if I should take the standard deduction or do line-item. I am a 1099 independent service provider and have mileage, medical, home office supplies (but no home office) and charitable donations I can deduct. I did not contribute to any retirement plans. I am trying to determine if my line-item deductions amount to more than the standard deduction. Thank you.-
ANSWER:
A standard deduction for someone with filing status of single is 50 for 2007.Your business mileage as an independent service provider would go on your schedule C, not on schedule A anyway, so you don’t have to itemize to deduct that. Same for office supplies for your service provider work.

ANSWER:
I’m in school right now at Butler University in Indianapolis to become a Physician Assistant. If you don’t know what it is exactly, google it or look it up in wikipedia– to keep it small and simple, it’s basically a step linking a nurse and a doctor, but it’s more like being a doctor; you see your own patients, you write prescriptions, but you don’t necessarily have all the responsibility (not to mention all the school) of a doctor. You don’t have to have a degree to apply to Butler’s program, but being in school somewhere is highly not compulsory. The program is 3 years long (although, in some places it is 4), and when you complete, you can get a job pretty much anywhere working in any field you choose. Right now I’m thinking about specializing in emergency medicine, but I’m also looking into surgery or orthopedics. A lot of my colleagues are thinking about family tree practice and OBGYN. There are literally a million things you can do as a Physician Assistant, and I can’t wait to start working as one!

Preparing For A Disaster, Cheap & Easy – Part 1

The simple act of Preparing for a Disaster could save your life and your families so your not caught flat footed and helpless.
Disasters happen all the time whether they be man made or untreated, and how prepared you are can have a dramatic affect on your life. If a disaster is coming or has already arrived, such as weather, your too late. Attentiveness needs to be done before something happens. It’s not a matter of IF, but WHEN.
It is very simple to become complacent when things seem to be going well. “I’ve been through dozens of hurricanes” I’ve heard public boast. Fantastic, question the public that were in Katrina if they still reckon that. Situations can change dramatically in an instant. It comes swiftly and knocks you over the head, and hopefully opens your eyes to what’s vital to you and how a small training could have helped improve the situation.
If you reckon your prepared, just do a double take and make sure you really are. Having a nice supply in your home is only one small piece of the attentiveness pie. You may not have access to your home. Do you have the same supplies in your vehicle? Let’s take a quick look at some potential disasters that have and could occur:
Common and Possible Disasters
Hurricanes- This is a common disaster that happens every year and the severity varies.
Flooding- Often simultaneous with hurricanes or excessive rainfall and drainage buildup. Flooding can be very disastrous, destroying roads, homes, and life.
Tornado- Common in many areas and a hit or miss disaster. Very powerful and deadly.
Snow & Ice- Very common in northern regions. Power outages that can last weeks, perilous road conditions, and whiteouts leave many public stranded every year.
Earthquakes- Another common occurrence in many regions, which much too often causes complacency. Earthquakes can be non destructive tremors, or highly destructive to both life and property.
Anthrax, biological, nuclear attacks- These are always a possibility, mainly currently. They can happen anywhere at any time without warning. Sept 11 is a prime example.
All of these disasters can shut down transportation, empty the store shelves, overwhelm emergency assets and services, grossly inflate common item prices (fill up, food, plywood, fuel, etc) and cause widespread panic. Grocery store shelves are stripped of necessities nearly always overnight, and this happens even for very minor disruptions, never mind a large tragedy. Most public are so unprepared they don’t even have basics like food, fill up, first aid kits, and most importantly a plot.
What You Can Do To Prepare
Due to the numerous potentials, what should you place aside and prepare for? If you live in a normally occurring disaster area such as “tornado alley” in the Midwest USA, or the “West coast earthquakes”, or “Southern hurricanes”, or “flood prone” areas, you should surely expect a disaster to happen and place aside items that evenly disappear.
No matter where you live, place aside the basic necessities first, such as:
Food- You must eat food to live.
Fill up- You must taste fill up to live.
First Aid Kits- It would be a real tragedy to develop a serious infection because you allowed a simple scratch to go untreated because you didn’t have a first aid kit to clean and care for it. There are many more items you should have, but these are the bare necessities essential to life. You shouldn’t expect someone else to take care of your needs, and surely don’t expect to be welcomed by others who are trying to care for their own needs and survival. This is gambling with your life.
What To Do in The Event of a Disaster
Depending on the situation, the impending or occurring disaster, you have two choices.
Stay at home, or Evacuate & Travel.
Stay at Home – Snowstorms, earthquakes (maybe), cyber attacks, biological attacks, or anything that collapses the infrastructure. Staying home is often your best choice.
Evacuate & Travel – Hurricanes, flooding, wildfires, or disasters with advance notice, evacuating may be your best choice. If your home is threatened, leaving could save your life.
Staying in a familiar area and having emergency supplies at hand is always the best choice whenever possible. I am not a huge proponent of listening to what self appointed desk jockeys have to say. They do not have your personal interest in mind, and if they are incorrect about the advice they gave you, their answer is “Oh well”.
You need to reckon and act for physically and should care for your own needs. Don’t be herded to the slaughter by non interested strangers.
Your Disaster Kit
Putting together a disaster kit is a personal thing in many ways, but all should have the basics. At least 2 weeks worth of food, 2 weeks of fill up, a excellent first aid kit, extra clothing, and any special needs. Yes, I know FEMA (Forget All Manage After), advises 3 days, but I assure you, they will not be coming to your home to refresh your supplies on the fourth day.
Excessive point is beyond the scope of this condition, so we’ll pr?cis some priorities for your disaster kit.
Food- You must eat food to live. Keep non perishable foods that require no refrigeration and small or no fill up to prepare.
Fill up- You must taste fill up to live. Place aside 15 gallons PER self PER 2 weeks, this is a minimum. You can read the condition specific to just this subject by Clicking Here.
First Aid Kits- It would be a real tragedy to develop a serious infection because you allowed a simple scratch to go untreated because you didn’t have a first aid kit to clean and care for it. Have a first aid kit that includes items to treat lacerations, sprains, burns, infection, anti-diarrhea, pain, and antiseptic wash at the very least.
Special Needs- There are items you may need beyond the essentials. Medications, toilet paper, sleeping bags, warm clothes, hats, gloves, boots, flashlights, diapers, contacts, glasses, batteries, etc. You can add you own personal needs to the list.
Spare Cash- The amount is up to you and your budget. I would have several hundred dollars. It needs to be cash. A debit card is NOT cash, a credit card is NOT cash, a check is NOT cash, I reckon you get the point. Businesses, banks, atm machines are easily shut down and rely way too much on the computer to stay in business. If you’ve ever been is a “situation” then you already know stores will stop accepting credit cards, debit cards, and banks will hold your money hostage and restrict the amount of money you can withdraw. I’ve been there, done that. You need cash only. Still there is no guarantee the store will be open, but if your mobile and find one, it may be the only way you can pay.
Biological Man made Disaster Supplies- Nobody likes to reckon about it, but the reality is that we face many threats currently other then untreated disasters. We live in a new world with the real possibility of a disaster occurring. Some basics you could store to protect physically are: Chemical gas masks, at the very least, a surgical mask. Potassium Iodide Tablets, these are helpful in the event of a radioactive fallout. The tablets basically flood your thyroid glands and help prevent thyroid cancer which can be caused by radiation absorption. Allergic individuals to iodine should not take these.
All of these items are honestly inexpensive and easily obtained. Keep supplies in your home AND your vehicle. Don’t expect to have time to transport your supplies from the house to the vehicle. You may have to jump in and go.
Prepare physically and you family tree with a very inexpensive insurance, the disaster kit.
If you feel this whole condition is overdoing it, and nothing really will happen to you, then just question physically this question, “If I was caught in a disaster, would a disaster kit help or hinder my survivability”? I reckon you already know the answer…
If you liked this condition, keep an eye out for Part 2, “Preparing for a Disaster, Hardcore Survival” which will be published at DIYinnovation.com

QUESTION:
where can i get cpr, first aid, and babysitting certified all in one place cheap really close to my home?
where can i get cpr, first aid, and babysitting certified all in one place cheap really close to my home?-
ANSWER:
Usually your local hospital, Red Cross or YMCA will have ‘Safe Sitter’ Courses for you. I was in Girl Scouts and was lucky to have gotten babysitter training when I was 11. But I really like children and got more training and a ‘Safe Sitter’ Certficate when I was 12.Being certified is helpful in getting jobs. It gives the mother comfort to know that you have been trained and know how to give her child his bath, change his diapers, keep him safe, comfort him if he is frightened, and nurture him when he is sad.
Excellent Luck !

First Aid Kits, Medical Supplies, Emergency Kits, First Aid Supply

As football augmented in popularity and the rules became more formalized during the late 1800′s the first football boots were designed specifically with the game in mind. The boots rose up to the ankle for protection and subsequent a change in the laws of the game in 1891 studs were allowed, which gave more stability on the pitch. The first studs were made of leather and they were hammered into the soles of the existing boots.
The boots of the late 1800′s were very cumbersome, weighing approximately 500g; they weighed even more when they were wet as they would absorb fill up, making it very hard for the players to play the game.
In 1925 the first changeable studs were introduced and players were able to change their studs according to the weather and the condition of the pitch, although the boots themselves remained of a similar stylishness, still covering the ankle.
The 1940′s saw greater consideration given to how the boots affected the kicking and control of the ball and newly designed boots were made with that in mind. The 1940′s also saw the initiation of boots from manufactures such Gola and Hummel who would later become the market leaders.
The 1950′s saw the initiation of plastic and rubber interchangeable studs and the use of synthetic materials in an attempt to make the boot lighter and during the 1960′s the first below ankle, slipper stylishness boots were introduced, which not only revolutionized the footwear, but also saw better ball control, shooting power and an increase in agility and the speed of the players nearly the pitch.
The 1970′s and 80′s saw lighter weight boots, with the initiation of uncommon colors as the boot became a more fashionable accessory
The 1990′s were dominated by Adidas who urban the Predator football boot, the main attribute being rubber strips which are emotionally involved to the forefoot which increases the speed of the ball and have an effect on ball spin and precision.

QUESTION:
Do match officials in football receive first-aid training?
Looking at the Ramsey thing, it looks like Whelan’s the only self on the pitch with any thought of the right things to do. Massive praise to him, of course, but ultimately the referee is in charge of the game, and I was surprised that the referee and other officials weren’t supervising the care of Ramsey until the medical team reached him.If match officials aren’t first-aid trained, do you reckon there’s an argument for them being so?
-
ANSWER:
I did a quick google, and came crosswise this site: http://www.footballreferee.org/become_referee.php
Looking at the structure of the training course, there’s mention of “fitness awareness” etc., but nothing about knowing what to do in the case of an injury. No doubt there are probably some match officials who choose to do first-aid training, but it doesn’t seem to be compulsory (anyone with a better knowledge of referee training, feel free to confirm or refute – like I said, I only did a quick google). This is quite a bolt from the blue to me. Football is a sport in which injuries do happen, and aside from the players, the referee is the first self at the scene, and the other match officials are close by, too.
Obviously, we don’t want match officials to have to perform any complex medical procedures on the pitch, but some basic knowledge of the right course of action would certainly be a excellent thought. It’s often a couple of minutes until medical staff can get on the pitch, and the actions of a couple of minutes can make an injury much worse. If you look at Ramsey’s injury, you can see Whelan and Bendtner supporting Ramsey’s head to ensure his airway stayed open. It’s all ‘what-ifs’, but if they hadn’t done that, the potential consequences are severe (I’m not saying Ramsey would have died without the other players’ actions, just that the players’ actions helped ensure his safety).
I reckon there’s certainly an argument for asking match officials to do some sort of basic first-aid course. Not only would they be able to ensure players’ safety with simple actions like putting them in the recovery position, but it would also give referees a small bit more knowledge when it comes to initial assessments of injuries. The sooner a referee realises that an injury is serious, the sooner he calls on the medical staff. Also, knowing that the match officials are the closest public who know how to help a player might help crack down on the way some players crowd nearly referees, preventing them from even seeing the injury.
Basic first-aid training for match officials, if they don’t receive it, is certainly a excellent thought. Nobody’s asking referees to be doctors, but football is a sport in which injuries inevitably happen, and I reckon it’s a excellent thought to prepare for that by making sure that referees know the best thing to do in the immediate consequence of an injury.
The players who looked after Ramsey deserve lots of praise, but it shouldn’t just be left to opportunity that someone on the pitch will know what to do.

QUESTION:
should it be mandatory for coaches of youth sports teams be certified in first aid and Cpr?
mainly in sports like football, baseball, etc?-
ANSWER:
No. I have coached youth sports, I also carry a CPR card, but do not make it mandatory. A excellent solution is to have the club bylaws suggest it to all coaches. roofing . Then the club can place on the course. The coaches are in small supply and to make it a requirment will just increase the shortage.

Any suggestions for ways to get through college free?
Hey all, I’m 26 years ancient and back in college. My first degree was from a trade school which is really uncommon from the traditional college I’ve been attending and didn’t really teach me things like figuring out what my best career choice would be. After working in a qualified enviroment for four years that I dreaded going into everday I found out about more of what I loved out of a job and chose to go back to school. But, I had to leave the corporate job to go back to school and I’m finding it hard waiting tables again and making ends meet. I’ve heard that since I’m 26 and making less money I could get grants but so far my financial aid office has just gave me direct mail for things like FastWeb. I’ve tried this thing out but it seems like I just get a bunch of bogus offers and wanted to know if anyone else has some suggestions on where to look or who to call for that matter. I’m currently trying to appeal my financial status to get additional aid money to help pay income expenses, but I’ve been told I need to wait a few months. Also since I wait tables it may take longer since the financal aid department has “a hard time evaluating that kind of job”.If anyone has any suggestions on how I can get that extra money nearer please let me know. Small of working two jobs and trying to take classes I’m at a loss. Thank you.
