Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a life-saving procedure to be performed on a self who is suffering from cardiac or respiratory arrest. Let’s look into the steps on how to perform CPR.

Conventional CPR is performed by qualified medical practitioners; but, a layman can also carry out CPR for maintaining circulation and breathing. It involves clearing the airway, mouth-to-mouth rescue breathing along with chest compression.
Before doing CPR, place the self on his/her back and try to wake him/her up. Check whether the self is conscious or unconscious. If a self is not trained enough to do CPR, he can perform hands-only CPR, which means giving uninterrupted chest compressions. This will at least help to some boundary. Knowing these simple first aid steps of CPR can surely save public in case of a cardiac or respiratory arrest.
