   first aid and CPR does save lives

   they teach you what to do when some one has a stroke / heart attach/ choking.
   to learn the signs of them and to treat them

   also they will teach you what to do when some one is hurt broken arm or leg

   how to stop bleeding
   how to treat a cut.
   what to do for a burn (for terrible burns what is done in the first few Min’s determines if they self will live)

   now the reason they question you to keep it up to date ( usually every three years or less)
   is they are always looking for better ways to do things.

   I know how they do CPR is very uncommon now than it was 10 years ago

   now they even have a course on how to work the portable
   defibrillators that plains and some schools and other places now have.

   so knowing that could save a life

   and for family tree and friends if someone hurts themselves you would know what to do.

   my Niece fell and I had first aid so I know enough not to go her I kept her very still
   knowing this stopped her from ending up in a wheel chair.
   so yes it is worth it
